[tps_title] Utah Shuts out Iowa [/tps_title]
The final game of Friday’s opening day at the FBU National Championship pitted Team Utah vs. Team Iowa in 8th grade. Utah’s outstanding defensive line and the pressure applied to Iowa quarterback Bo Lumbardi was the difference. Utah’s quarterback Cooper Legas (LEY-gah) was excellent in running and throwing the football. He displayed accurate down field passing with a strong arm and also proved to be a very capable and tough runner in the read option game. Head coach Jeremy Smith’s Utah team comprised of kids mostly from the St. Lake City area, rolled to a 26-0 shutout victory.
